Ocean Charge Achieves Pending B Corporation Status

Ocean Charge x B Corp Pending

Ocean Charge, the innovative leader in EV charging solutions for apartment blocks and commercial properties, is proud to announce its recognition as a Pending B Corporation. This significant milestone underscores the company’s mission to bring accessible, sustainable EV charging to communities across the UK, breaking down barriers to EV adoption and accelerating the shift to a greener future.

Pending B Corporation status is awarded to early-stage companies that demonstrate a commitment to balancing profit with purpose and actively work towards full B Corporation Certification. This recognition highlights Ocean Charge’s dedication to social and environmental impact, transparency, and accountability.

“At Ocean Charge, our vision is to make EV charging accessible to everyone, whether at home or work. Apartment blocks and commercial properties often lack the infrastructure needed to support the UK’s growing electric vehicle market, and we’re here to change that,” said Sam Foster, Head of Retrofit at Ocean Charge. “Achieving Pending B Corp status is a testament to the hard work of our team and our unwavering focus on delivering innovative, sustainable solutions for a better future.”

To achieve Pending B Corporation status, Ocean Charge has incorporated stakeholder rights into its legal framework and completed the B Impact Assessment, which measures the company’s performance across key areas such as governance, environmental impact, and community engagement. Over the next 12 months, Ocean Charge will continue to improve and meet the performance requirements necessary to achieve full certification.

This recognition comes at a critical moment for Ocean Charge as it scales its operations to deliver fully-funded EV charging solutions tailored to apartment blocks and commercial properties across the UK. The Pending B Corporation designation reinforces the company’s commitment to providing inclusive solutions that make sustainable energy accessible for all.
